Harvest Festival Celebrations 2011

It has been a busy weekend at St Barnabas. Our pub quiz with 60 plus participants raised over £400 and a special thanks to the social committee for organising this well attended, fun and hugely successful community event. (Kate could hardly be heard this morning as her voice was practically lost after reading all those questions out! )

Sunday Harvest Festival was celebrated by Fr Derek today who reflected on how God made the ultimate sacrifice in sending his son to us, allowing us to consider the harvest we now enjoy is thanks to this selfless and single most loving act of all. The children of the congregation gathered near the font and formed a procession to deliver their own giving for blessings.

Finally our service today was followed by a bring share lunch celebration held in the vestry. Enjoy the photos below!
