Barnababies

Barnababies is two hours of play, craft and friendship for parents, toddlers and babies in a safe and welcoming environment. New mums and babies are especially welcome (we have an area for the younger babies) and it is a great opportunity to meet other new mum’s at the same time.

We provide refreshments, craft activities, toys for all age groups and song time at the end of the session with instruments and singing.

It is a group for Mums, Dads, Grandmas, Granddads, plus other carers and of course the children from 0 – 4 years old. Toddlers have space to play on ride-on toys, play instruments, partake in craft activities and make new friends. Parents/Carers have time to sit down and chat together with a cuppa and a biscuit while the children play. Refreshments for the children are also provided. There are toilets and baby changing facilities.

For more information please contact Sarah Kempster on her email addressor call 01892 519729 or even just turn up on Thursday morning!

Barnababies meet term time 9am – 11am on Thursday mornings during the school terms and closed during the holidays. Cost is £1 per family per session.

I took over the running of Barnababies in February this year and it has been a joy to be a part of. We have had such a fun time and made some good friends.  As well as lots of other fabulous crafts we have decorated cut outs of ourselves, made finger puppets, and celebrated the Royal Wedding by making some beautiful crowns and tiaras. On the last session of the summer we had a fantastic Summer Party and finished with a Teddy Bears Picnic at the local park. The mothers who attend the group have said some really positive comments;

‘My son loves coming here, every morning he asks whether it is a Barnababies morning’
‘It is the most friendly mother and baby group I have been too’
‘My daughter loves the songs and often sings them all the way home’
‘The crafts have been great this term and we are looking forward to coming back in September’
And more importantly a quote from one of the children;
‘yummy  biscuits’

We have toys for all ages, books, crafts and song-time.  Parents/Carers have an opportunity to sit down and chat with a cuppa and a biscuit. Refreshments for children are also provided.  Call Sarah 01892 519729 for further details or come along next term (our first meeting is 8th September)
