Magnificat anima mea Dominum - My soul magnifies the Lord
We celebrate some of our services in the beautiful Lady Chapel and it is here that we reserve the Blessed Sacrament ready to be taken out to the sick and housebound. Jesus is truly present here.
Oh God, who in a wonderful sacrament has left us a memorial of your passion; grant us, we beseech you, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood, that we may ever perceive within ourselves the fruit of your redemption. Amen.
Hanging above the Altar, the Holy Spirit is depicted as a dove (the Gospel tells us that He descended ‘like a dove’ at Jesus’ Baptism).
Come Holy Ghost, and set our hearts aflame with love for Jesus. Watch over us always and keep us faithful to the end of our lives. Amen.
